I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of winter. The warm drinks, cozy sweaters, pretty snow, it truly is a great season. And while you’re stuck inside avoiding the frostbite of the negative temperatures outside, it only makes sense to work on your winter marketing strategy.
With an abundance of hot coffee and reading socks, it’s also pretty enjoyable. As the Holiday season rolls around, the vast majority of brands are looking for ways to get Holiday sales. Winter-fy your Instagram Feed
Instagram is all about themes, and when the snow starts falling Instagram seems to blow up with #winter posts. So now is the time to transform your photo feed into a winter wonderland. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing to your audience, but also helps visually solidify the brand you’re trying to portray,
Starbucks is a known master of the winter Instagram feed, so take a couple examples out of their book.
Indigo has the cozy feel down, while also plugging some great resources for people to read. Using the cozy-up aesthetic of winter to plug some products works.

Run A Sweepstakes Style Contest
Winter is also the season of sweepstakes, and boy are there a lot.
Sales are always a great incentive to get people to buy your products, and with the amount of holidays and the spike in people staying at home and shopping online it makes it the perfect time to push sweepstakes to get your sales numbers up before the end of the year.
Boxing Day is also approaching, so sweepstakes going up to and on Boxing Day works wonders, especially with the surge of ecommerce and online shopping.
Highlight How Your Products Can Make For Great Presents:
The approach here could not be more blunt, but it works.
This one is a bit tricky to do, but it’s all in the marketing. Writing listicles like “Top 5 Christmas Gifts” or “10 New Year’s resolutions you can keep” are generally quite effective and make it insanely simple to make and plug your own products.
Let’s say you run a yoga studio. To subtlety plug your business you might write a post titled: 19 New Years Resolutions You Can Keep and make one of the resolutions about committing to weekly yoga. Or another example would be this post I wrote about 6 great gifts bosses are giving their bosses if you want some inspiration on what kind of products to plug (or if you need some last-minute gift ideas).
You can also combine this approach with a sweepstakes to double up on your marketing strategy.
Sell Things That Are Season Appropriate
Blankets, scarves, toques, and anything warm are the perfect items to push when the snow starts falling. I own about 20 beanies because of winter marketing plans around the holiday season (and I regret nothing).
Hoodies are an absolute staple to complete the winter Hustler look. My personal favourite is the Create The Things You Wish existed hoodie that we sell, not only is it a fantastic look but it’s cozy as all heck.
Coffee and other warm drinks are also great sellers, but try spicing it up with fancy (but easy) coffee creations. Simple mochas, flavoured lattes, or a macchiato make for some quick and easy coffee recipes you can draft up and start pushing.
